Please Walk On the Grass

A spatialization of the US government's separation of powers using a birds eye view of the urban layout of Washington D.C imagined as grassy fields separated by mowed pathways. Vacancies in the rug pile represent the physical locations of the White House, Congress, and Supreme Court buildings. Thinking about how physical interaction with a textile can be an educational experience.
